Region One Vice Chairperson, pillion rider hospitalised after motorcycle accident

Two women, including Regional Vice Chairperson for Region One, Annansha Peters, are currently patients at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after the motorcycle they were riding fell into a hole at Moruca yesterday resulting in them sustaining injuries.

According to a police report, the motorcycle was being ridden by 34-year-old Peters with 28-year-old Adona Ganesh as the pillion rider.

Enquiries have revealed that about 12:30 pm yesterday, Peters was riding motorcycle registered as CK 4511, and proceeding west on the southern side of the Huradiah Public Road in Moruca when the motorcycle fell into a hole in the road, causing them to fall and suffer injuries.

The women were picked up in an unconscious state by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Kumaka District Hospital. They were later air-dashed to the GPH.
