Re my letter ‘I have not heard from the Environmental Assessment Board’ published in Stabroek News, August 13, 2021, in relation to an appeal made to the Environmental Assessment Board (EAB) in objecting to the ‘Non-Destructive Testers Limited (Guyana) Inc. – Storage of Sealed Radioactive Source – Industrial Radiography Device’, at Lot 1 of Lots 1 and 2 Thuiste Te Coverden, East Bank, Demerara (the former Clay Brick Fac-tory). I am pleased to inform that subsequent to the letter’s publication I received a response from the Environmental Assessment Board (EAB). In its correspondence the EAB has informed me that a public hearing for the project will be organized during the first part of September. Thank you once again for the role your newspaper has played.
