Titillating adventurous formulations

Dear Editor,

One does not know to whom the Senior Public Relations Manager, Guyana Sugar Corporation reports, but the latter should accept responsibility for some of the adventurous formulations seen in a letter published in SN of October 1. For example, should not ‘every single week on timely basis’ read ‘on a timely basis’?

Then how many floods can be found in the following text “…during and after these floods since the first consequence of the flood”?? – all followed by the curious ‘hijacking’ of the industry’s revenue stream (as if implying criminal intent!) And while nit-picking note the different fonts in spelling GUYSUCO/Guysuco. See the correct formulation at the end.

Then again one is further titillated by the instruction to ‘all media house’ to verify vital information? (The lesson here is to practice what one teaches). One proceeds to sympathise with the injunction that ‘greater care and caution is expected by the media at all times’; and of course it should be of GuySuCo at the same times. Then it needs to be further clarified what is ‘a responsibility media house’? Finally, should not ‘with regards to’ read ‘with regard to?

Sincerely,
Former GuySuCo Executive
