A youth is now in police custody after he was allegedly found with two guns in his possession at South Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF), in a statement, said that the 20-year-old suspect was arrested at 14:00 hrs at South Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara on Thursday. The police said that the youth had a .32 revolver with two live rounds and a Glock .40 pistol in his possession.
The arrest was made by police ranks from the Sparendaam Police Station, who conducted an operation at the residence of the youth based on information they received.
A search was carried out on the premises and the mentioned articles were recovered. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Sparendaam Police Station.
