Back Circle, Leopold Street, and North East La Penitence romp to victories in K&S Futsal fixtures

Traditional giants, Back Circle, Leopold Street, and North East La Penitence, earned contrasting wins while newcomer Foot Steppers romped to an easy victory when the Guyana Football Federation (GFF)/Kashif and Shanghai Organization Futsal Championship continued yesterday.

Staged at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue, Leopold Street bested Silver Bullets of Linden 4-3. The foursome of Okeene Fraser, Seon Alfred, Daren Benjamin, and Quincy Adams, found the back of the net in the ninth, 14th, 18th and 30th minute correspondingly.

On target in the loss for the Lindeners with a double was Omar Brewley in the 15th and 27th minute, while Jermaine Samuels etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 12th minute.

On the other hand, Back Circle brushed aside West Demerara heavyweight Showstoppers 3-0. Jermaine Beckles amassed a brace in the 13th and 27th minute, while Raushan Ritch added to the result in the 29th minute. Similarly, North East La Penitence downed West Side Ballers 5-2.

Lindy Gardner bagged a brace in the 20th and 27th minute, while Lennox Cort tallied a double in the 21st and 29th minute. Adding one goal in the 12th minute was Prince Nero. For the losers, Donte McAulay and Troy Miggins netted in the third and 16th minute respectively.

Meanwhile, Foot Steppers stomped Goal Shattas 7-0. Neron Barrow recorded two conversions in the13th and 22nd minute, with Tywell Henry amassing a second half brace in the 29th and 30th minute.

Chipping in with one goal each during the rout were Mervin Padmore, Nathaniel Giddings, and Domini Garnett, in the 10th, 24th and 28th minute respectively.

The tournament continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of elimination fixtures.
