After cancelling their original match-day of December 12 owing to inclement weather, the Georgetown Office Assistants Promotional Committee will instead conduct their Inter-Ministries/Government Agencies eight-a-side Tape Ball Cricket Competition, on Sunday December 19, at the National Cultural Centre tarmac from 9:00am.
According to a release from the Committee, prospective teams have until 8:30 on the morning of the event to register to compete. Further, all competing players must be vaccinated and provide evidence of such status, to be able to feature in the tournament.
The release also stated that a fixture between secondary schools will also be conducted. Cash and trophies will be awarded to the winner of the tournament. Sponsors of the event include Office of the President, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Star Party Rentals, Trophy Stall, and GTT. The tournament is being coordinated by James ‘Uprising’ Lewis.
