Police are investigating a suspected murder/suicide following the discovery of the bodies of a Sarah Johanna, East Bank Demerara couple in their home earlier this morning.
The deceased couple has been identified as Nicholas and Sasha Low-a-Chee.
Police Commander of Region 4 ‘B’ Mahendra Siwnarine told Stabroek News that investigators are on the scene. He noted that while they are treating the investigation as a murder/suicide, they will have to await autopsies to determine the cause of the deaths.
He related that neighbours summoned police to the home of the couple earlier this morning after they made the discovery.
It is unclear at what time the deaths occurred but the commander said that when crime scene ranks saw the bodies, rigor mortis had already set in.
