A quick response from the New Amsterdam Fire Service last evening saved a multi- million dollar building which houses ANSA McAl and Bhivar in New Amsterdam from going up in flames
A sudden fire had started in the upper flat of the building where Bhivar is located.
According to information gathered, smoke was seen emanating from the building around 7 pm.
After the fire-fighters arrived on scene it was discovered that there was a fire inside of the upper flat of the building.
The fire-fighters quickly went to work and were able to extinguish the fire.
According to a source, the fire is suspected to be electrical in origin.
An investigation has since been launched.
