One thousand new cases of COVID-19 were reported today by the Ministry of Health, continuing the trend of dramatic rises believed to be linked to the Omicron variant.
Two more women have also passed away from the virus. One was a fully vaccinated 80-year-old of Region Six and the other an unvaccinated 57-year-old from Region Five.
Thirteen persons are in the ICU.
