Randolph Roberts was on Thursday re-elected president of the Flying Ace Cycling Club at the club’s Annual General Meeting held at Alexander Street, New Amsterdam.

Roberts was nominated by Balram Narine and seconded by Ralph Seenarine.

All the other members of the executive were also reelected with John Lewis and Senior Counsel, Mursaline Bacchus as the first and second vice presidents.

Narine will continue as secretary and club captain while Roberts will also serve as   treasurer.  Errol Alphonso is the club’s Patron.

Pearl Arokium, Eli Hazel, Fizal Ally and Ray Singh are the committee members.

Roberts, who has been coaching the sport for over three decades told Stabroek Sport after the elections that he intends to continue to lift the standard of cycling in the country while pushing to begin the 2022 season next month with a club race.

He explained that he expects more businesses to come on board adding that he believes once approval is given from the COVID-19 Task Force, more events will be on the table.

Roberts pointed out that there is a strong crop of riders at the club and he intends to give them as much opportunities as possible for them to grow and dominate.
