Big Boss Girls win Strikers Sports Club Anniversary dominoes competition

Big Boss Girls dominoes team ran out winners of a specially arranged all female teams competition celebrating the 13th anniversary of Strikers Sports Club and Bar, Meadowbrook Dive last Saturday.

The competition, played at the club’s headquarters, was a two-round aggregate points system one.

The teams that participated were Hammer, Turning Point, Big Girls, Spartan Girls, Cody Girls and Big Boss Girls who duly emerged victorious with the maximum 10 points. Big Girls was second with eight points while Spartan Girls placed third with seven points. Hammer was fourth, Cody Girls, fifth  while  Turning Point brought up the rear.

Prizes, hampers and trophies were awarded to all six participating teams in what was deemed a first in which all participating teams were rewarded financially.

Donations in the form of trophies came from Grace Kennedy Remittance Services, Luminous Consultancy and Electrical Services and Shaila Johnson for the first, second and third places respectively while Ansa McAL contributed hampers and Clifton Electronics donated one Black & Decker Iron for the MVP.

Big Boss Transportation Services, Strikers Sports Club, Dynasty Sports Club and Spartans Sports Club also made contributions.

Valerie Fortune was adjudged Most Valuable Player (One Hamper and one Black & Decker Iron) while the ladies sharing loves in the competition were Neibert Hale of Big Girls, Charlyn Barnwell and Lorraine Reid of Big Boss Girls, Rita Scarder of Spartan Girls and Jane Chase of Hammer. Orinthia Bishop of Spartan Girls, Claire Benjamin of Cody Girls and Susan Collymore of Turning Point received hampers for amassing the highest games in their respective teams.
