Hetmyer, Ramdeholl stroke tons in BCB/Tenelec U15 tournament

Adrian Hetmyer smashed his second century of the Berbice Cricket Board/Tenelec under-15 tournament while Romario Ramdeholl scored his first to lead Rose Hall Canje Arborsmart (RHCA) to a massive 317-run win over Mount Saini Sunday.

RHCA, batting first, post 348 for one from  50 overs while Mount Saini were bundled out in 11.3 overs for 31, playing with nine players.

Hetmyer smashed four sixes and nine fours in 145 not out from just 146 balls. He added 323 runs with Ramdeholl who faced 160 balls for his 135 runs. Ramdeholl’s innings included two sixes and 13 fours before he was caught and bowled by H. Daymond (1-43). Mount Sinai also leaked 63 extras, 45 of which were wides.

Enrique Mickle was not out on five.

RHCA’s opening bowlers rocked Mount Sinai’s chase early with Nicholas Hall (4-10) removing S. Brintil and S. Aaron in the first over.

Sharvesh Isberan ended with 3-18 as no batsman scored more than five runs. Extras accounted for the highest tally with 14.

In other matches, Cotton Tree Die Hard defeated Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes (RHT) by 61 runs. Cotton Tree made 126 all out in 47.5 overs with 74 runs coming in extras. Shoaib Gaffoor top scored with 18 while David Alfred made 11. RHT’s Akash Sooklall, Dave Prettipaul and Roshan Crandon captured two wickets each.

In reply, RHT were flattened by Arif Khan who snatched 5-18. He was supported by Arif Bacchus, 2-14 and Gaffoor, 2-16.

Tucber Park secured a 142-run win over Achievers after posting 185 all out in 31 overs and scuttling Achievers for 43.

Gavin Kisten top scored for Tucber Park with 85 and capped off an exceptional all-round performance with 5-11.
