Such petulance will embolden the resolve that the elections results were free and fair

Dear Editor,

The usual flurry of hurled invectives are not surprising, whenever the side with no parliamentary leader, back is against the wall.  The call again for the Chair to go and the claim the then opposition rigged the elections, are yet manifestations of failed leadership and wanting to find a scapegoat as a face saving tactic. During the months long failed, attempted heist on democracy, no such call was made by the side, but now it is a mantra, laced with venom. Further, the elections’ rigging claim, (seems the claim is no longer ‘installed regime’ aided and abetted by the international community), while still hiding and ducking its SOPs, is blowing in the wind. Such petulance will yield no result and will only embolden the resolve that the elections results were free and fair, as attested to and public officials legally appointed, unlike another appointment that was ruled illegal, will serve their position, until and unless otherwise determined. No defaming calls or unsavory comments can make it otherwise.

Sincerely,

Shamshun Mohamed
