MMZ USA suffered a 69-run defeat at the hands of Police Sports Club as their tour of Guyana continued Sunday at the Meten-Meer-Zorg Ground.

MMZ USA inserted Police who rocketed to 173 for seven from their allotted 20 overs.

MMZ USA were unable to reach the target eventually being bundled out for 104 in 18 overs.

Kevin Christian raced to 47 from 27 balls with four sixes and three fours. National wicketkeeper/batsman, Kemol Savory anchored the innings with a composed 31-ball 32 while Andrew Lyght Jr., and Quintin Sampson struck 23 runs each.

Antony Adams gave Police a late push with a five-ball 14 not out as extras accounted for 15.

Andy Mohammed bagged 2-21 while Akshaya Persaud, Mathew Lutchena, Sheldon Alexander, Malcolm Hubbard and Chris Harry picked up a wicket each.

Jason Heyliger ripped through the top order with 5-25 as MMZ slipped to 46 for seven and failed to recover despite Alexander’s 39 not out. His 40-ball innings included two fours and two sixes. Cornelius Jaisingh with 13 was the only other batsman with a double figure score while extras chalked up 12.

Troy Benn picked up 2-21 while Keston Harcourt, Adams and Trevor Benn bagged a wicket a piece.
