A 48-year-old Waramadong man was arraigned for sexual activity with a child when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Jim Walker of Waramadong Village, Upper Mazaruni River made his appearance before Magistrate Delon Bess, where the charge was read to him.
He was not required to plead to the charge and was remanded to prison until June 13.
The matter will be transferred to the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court.
Police say that the man is accused of committing the act on April 30, 2022 on a 16 year-old female of Region 7.
