The Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Senior Men’s League commenced on Sunday, with Eagles and Coomacka securing wins at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground, Linden.
Eagles soared past the Hi-Stars side 4-2. Colwyn Drakes amassed a brace in the 45th and 72nd minute, while Kendolph Lewis, and Deon Charter scored in the 20th and 42nd minute apiece. For Hi-Stars, Osapho Ross, and Jermain King found the back of the net in the second and 30th respectively.
Likewise, Coomacka brushed aside Kwakwani Strikers 4-0. Wheatland Thom scored twice in the 47th and 56th minute, while Cassius Campbell, and Shaquille Frank netted in the 19th and 30th minute respectively. The event continues on Friday at the same venue.
