No bail for ‘Stammer’ after Guinep Lane ganja bust

A man was yesterday charged and remanded to prison after he was busted by the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) with 1.26kg of marijuana at East Ruimveldt.

Julian Aaron, called ‘Stammer,’ who was one of two persons arrested after a Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit  (CANU) operation at Guinep Lane, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, uncovered 1.2kg of ganja and a large quantity of ammunition, has been remanded to prison.

Aaron appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in a city court, where he denied the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

He was denied bail and the matter was adjourned until July 8, 2022 for report.

CANU, in a statement, had said that Aaron and Denese Aaron were both arrested on June 2, 2022, after its officers conducted an operation at Guinep Lane, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown. The ammunition discovered comprised a .40mm round, one hundred. 38 rounds, two .38 short rounds, and twenty-seven 9mm rounds.

Aaron was not charged in connection with the ammunition that was found.
