Upside down national colours

Dear Editor,

Recently I went to the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall at Homestretch Avenue for a meeting. There I discovered to my chagrin that the national colours painted on the signboard outside of the Sports Hall were upside down. I then proceeded to the Central Housing and Planning Authority Annexe at Brickdam. At that location the national colours were also displayed upside down.

I wonder if persons in authority are not looking up or are not paying attention to details or they are just flippant about our national colours. It is easy to remember how to display the national colours. The red must always be displayed on the top. My information is that the national colours are prominently displayed on several government buildings and elsewhere in an improper manner. Could persons in authority please correct this sad state of affairs? Let us respect our national colours.

Yours respectfully,

Clinton Conway
