The Ministry of Health yesterday reported that one more person has succumbed to the novel coronavirus.
The deceased has been identified as an unvaccinated, 77-year-old woman of Region 4, Demerara- Mahaica. It was said that she succumbed on June 12th, 2022.
The number of deaths in the country has now increased to 1,240.
The ministry recorded a total of 34 new COVID cases. The new cases were recorded from Region Two – 7 cases, Region Three – 2 cases, Region Four – 13 cases, Region Six – 1 case and Region Ten – 11 cases.
The daily dashboard also stated that two persons are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 27 are in institutional isolation and 951 in home isolation.
