Farmer critical following accident at Somerset and Berks

Morvin Putdyal of Somerset and Berks, Region Two, is now in an unconscious state in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Suddie Hospital after he lost control of his motorcycle and ended up in a nearby trench.

Putdyal suffered severe head injuries. His wife, Margret Putdyal, told Stabroek News that her husband was heading to his farm when the incident occurred. She said that she received a call that he had been in an accident.

“I heard but I couldn’t believe it… and when I came to Suddie I saw him in a helpless state, he was lying on the bed helplessly. We had to assist to get his clothes off, the nurses were busy and couldn’t assist,” the wife related. Ms. Putdyal said that her husband was wet and shivering in an air-conditioned room. She said that after several hours her husband was given the attention he needed. Ms. Putdyal is hoping her husband recovers from the injuries he suffered.
