Guyana all-rounder, Jonathan Foo enjoyed success in the recently concluded Bangladeshi Premier League of the United States of America where he ended as the leading run scorer and saw Chattogram Lycans to second place.

The right hander ended with 245 runs from five innings at an average of 81. With the ball, he ended as the fifth most successful bowler with eight wickets at an average of 12.8 and an economy rate of under six.

The Albion Cricket Club hard hitter’s pinnacle performance came in the quarter-finals where he led Lycans to a 152-run win over Munshigan 11 Star.

Lycans climbed to 290 for four from 20 overs with Foo hitting 106 from just 34 balls. His unfinished innings featured nine fours and eight sixes while adding 134 for the third wicket with Mukhtar Ahmed who clubbed nine sixes and 11 fours during his 54-ball 120.

Munshigan were then skittled for 138 in 16.2 overs with Majharul Johny top scoring with 40. Mohammad Elias took 3-26 for Lycans as they advanced.

In the semi-finals, the 31-year-old was again integral as his side defeated Sylhet Super Kings by 133 runs. Lycans reached 176 for five with Foo hammering four sixes and five fours during his top score of 61 not out which came from 36 balls. Super Kings were then bundled out for 43 in 12.5 overs.

In the finals, Sythlet United, however, defeated Lycans by four wickets.

Lycans were bowled out for 121 in 19.5 overs with Foo top scoring again with 47 from 41 balls. Foo then returned to pick up 3-32 with the ball but United eventually reached 122 for six in 17.3 overs with Steven Taylor (27) and Shaker Ahmed (23 not out) doing the scoring.

Also doing well in the tournament was Bhaskar Yadram who made 219 runs in three innings including a top score of 117, turning out for Lakshmipur Thunderbolt. He finished as the fourth highest run scorer.

Vishual Singh finished fifth on the list with 217 runs in four innings including a best of 77, playing for Dhaka Yankee Royals.
