PM, seven ministers for Buxton/Friendship outreach today

Prime Minister Mark Phillips is to lead a high-level government outreach today to the East Coast Demerara villages of Buxton/Friendship.

The meeting is to be held at the Buxton Community Centre Ground from 10:00 am

According to flyers issued by the government, Phillips will be accompanied by seven government ministers: Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs,  Anil Nandlall SC; Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill;  Minister of Health, Dr. Frank Anthony; Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson; Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Oneidge Walrond;  Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall; and Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, Kwame McCoy.

The Department of Public Information (DPI) said that the Buxtonians and residents of neighbouring villages will have the opportunity to discuss developmental issues and other concerns. DPI said that the visit will be the fulfilment of a commitment made by President Irfaan Ali when he visited the village last Tuesday.
