The Disabilities and Rehabili-tation Services department of the Ministry of Health (MoH), recently received a donation of several wheelchairs from the Mohan Thani Foundation located in Guyana.
The donation was accepted by Minister of Health, Frank Anthony, and Director of the Disability and Rehabilitation Services Department of the MoH, Dr Ariane Mangar, at the Ministry‘s headquarters on Brickdam.
According to the Ministry of Health Facebook post, Dr Anthony expressed his gratitude for the donation and stated that he is looking forward to a continued partnership with the foundation.
Head of the Mohan Thani Foundation, Gautam Thani, explained that the foundation was established in 2014 after the passing of his father, Mohan Thani. He added that the foundation aims to distribute wheelchairs and other disability-related equipment and products to persons who are in need.
