The latest COVID fatality is a 70-year-old man of Region Four, Demerara-Mahaica.
The Ministry of Health yesterday said that the unvaccinated man died September 1st at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal.
The country’s death toll from the pandemic is now 1,279.
In addition, 14 new cases were recorded after 240 COVID tests were conducted. Region Three recorded 1 new case, Region Four 10, Region Six 2 and Region Ten 1 case.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s dashboard stated that two persons are in the COVID ICU while 7 are in institutional isolation and 209 in home isolation.
