Enterprise crushes Graham’s Hall 26-0

Led by a historic 12-goal blitz from Jashan Haynes, Enterprise crushed Graham’s Hall by a record 26-0 score to remain unbeaten in the Courts Pee Wee Boys U11 Football Champion-ship yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue in Georgetown.

Haynes found the back of the net in the second, third, fourth, seventh, eighth, 10th, 13th, 16th, 29th, 31st, 32nd, and 37th minute to singlehandedly win the match. Adding a brace in the 39th and 40th minute was Nashon Wharton, whilst Isandro Vincent, and Dontay Kowlessar got into the scoring act with conversions in the 11th and 35th minute apiece.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Redeemer brushed aside Soesdyke 5-1. David DeCosta tallied a hat-trick in the fifth, 10th, and 33rd minute, while Adiel Hamilton bagged a double in the 39th and 40th minute. For Soesdyke, Nathan Roberts scored in the 12th minute.

In another fixture, Craig downed Ann’s Grove 3-1. Maurice Fields tallied a brace in the 12th and 22nd minute whilst Kevin DeYoung scored in the 18th minute. For the losers, Isiah Pellew scored in the 26th minute.

The event will conclude on November 19 and all matches will be held at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue. The teams are divided into six groups of four. The top two finishers from each section and the four best third-placed teams will advance to the elimination round. The respective losers in the knockout section will progress to the plate division to battle for positions 5 to16.

The winner of the tournament will receive the championship trophy, gold medals, and a pair of uniforms. Each player will also be presented with an electronic tablet.

The runners-up will collect a trophy, silver medals, and six balls, while the third-place finisher will pocket a trophy and four balls and the fourth-place side will walk away with a trophy.

On the individual side, a trophy and a pair of football cleats will be presented to the eventual Most Valuable Player, Highest Goal Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper.
