The Police Falcons defeated the Panthers Rugby Club 21-12 on Sunday in the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) 10-a-side tournament which was staged at the National Park.

In the first half, the score was 7-0 in favor of Police courtesy of a Lionel Holder try and conversion.

During the second half, the Falcons ran in two more tries, one each from Akeem Fraser and Shawn David before the Panthers were able to breach the defence of the Falcons outfit.

Late, back-to-back tries by D’Arcy Durant and Kareem Fisher made the scoreline respectable for the Panthers.

The tournament continues this weekend and will last for six weeks.
