Christianburg/Wismar, Golden Grove in race for schools football c/ship

The champion of the 2022 edition of the GuyOil Secondary School Football League will be decided on the final match day after  league leader Christianburg/Wismar and second place outfit Golden Grove secured easy victories yesterday.

Staged at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Christianburg/Wismar downed third place President’s College 3-0 to remain atop the standings on 15 points. Krishtian Lewis, Kellon Hintzen, and Kemani Field netted in the 34th, 45th and 48th minute respectively.

Similarly, Golden Grove defeated fourth place North Ruimveldt 3-1. Kelon Croal, Kelvin Richardson and Emmanuel Lewis scored in the 28th, 34th and 60th minute apiece to climb onto 14 points. For the loser, Hansjie Camacho scored in the 19th minute.

Meanwhile, Cummings Lodge crushed Friendship 5-0, and Dolphin dismissed West Ruimveldt 5-1.
