(Trinidad Guardian) A Guyanese national was shot on Thursday night as he stood outside his home at Orange Grove Road, St Augustine.
Yancy Fox, 40, remained hospitalised in a stable condition at hospital yesterday.
The victim reportedly emerged from his home around 7.50 pm and was standing in his front yard when two men wearing masks and dressed in dark clothing approached him and began shooting.
As Fox ran inside he was shot in the lower left abdomen and fell to the ground.
The victim’s wife and neighbours found him bleeding when they went to check on him.
Fox was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, where he was treated and warded.
Forensic officials recovered ten 9 mm spent shells at the scene.
