As customary, Fitness Express has once again answered the call of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF). 

Just recently, owner of Guyana’s leading gym equipment and supplement supplier, Jamie McDonald presented a sponsorship cheque to President of the body, Gordon Spencer. 

The sponsorship will go towards the staging of the federation’s last statutory event for 2022, the flagship National Senior Championships which will be held tomorrow at St Stanislaus College.

Showtime is scheduled for 09:00hrs and the entrance fee is listed at $1000.

 Following the handing over ceremony at the Sheriff Street establishment, Spencer thanked McDonald for being the main sponsor and a continued benefactor of the sport and its elite athletes. 

McDonald then stated that the entity is proud to play its part in helping the community of hardworking athletes of the fitness fraternity. 

The fixture is expected to attract the cream of the nation’s gladiators who will be vying for the coveted Best Male and Female Lifter titles. Further, the lifters will be looking to secure qualifying Totals to be shortlisted for the national team for upcoming international duties in 2023.

Top strong men and women like Carlos Petterson-Grifith, Romario Gonsalves, Vijai Rahim, Hardat Tarson, Esther Maycock, Keisha Abrigo, Farouk Abdool and Fazim Abdool are expected to chalk up and put on a strength show on the platform.
