A valid driver’s license is an acceptable form of identification to access GPO’s services

Dear Editor,

In response to the letter published in the Stabroek Newspaper on December 31, 2022, with the title “My son paid $3000 to the GPO as a penalty for not having a National ID card,”

The Guyana Post Office Corporation wishes to inform the public that such a policy does not exist within the Corporation and that a valid driver’s license is an acceptable form of identification when accessing the Corporation’s services.

We are kindly requesting Ms Persaud to make contact with ‘GPO’ on 226 3127 or email address: pro@guypost.gy for assistance in investigating this report.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Scrubb

Public Relations Officer (Ag)
