Mohamed’s Enterprise says has gifted US$3m waterfront property for new Demerara bridge

Mohamed’s Enterprise yesterday said it has gifted a US$3m waterfront property to facilitate the construction of the new Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB)

In a post on its Facebook page, the company said that preparatory works have begun to facilitate the construction of the new DHB.

The bridge will pass over Mohamed’s Enterprise’s Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD) waterfront property on the eastern side of the river and at La Grange, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on the western side.

“In light of this and as its commitment to nation building, Mohamed’s Enterprise and Hadi’s World Inc. will donate 1.4 acres of prime land worth about US$3 million towards the construction of bridge”, the post said.

The land will be used to store equipment and building materials during the construction phase of the new facility.
