The Ministry of Health yesterday said that as of January 12th, 2023, two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1,293.
The latest fatalities are a man, 70, from Region Three whose vaccination status was unknown. He passed away on January 10th. On Thursday, a Region Two man, 79 passed away. He had not been vaccinated.
Meanwhile, in its dashboard yesterday, the ministry reported 30 new cases of the virus. Three persons are in the ICU.
