Pearson nets five as GPF thrashes Potaro Strikers

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) and Fruta Conquerors stormed to comfortable wins on Saturday in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Developmental League Playoff at the National Training Centre, Providence.

According to a press release, GPF thrashed Potaro Strikers 7-0. Lakeisha Pearson tallied five goals while Tiandi Smith and Honicia Adams netted one goal apiece.

Similarly, Fruta Conquerors brushed aside Milerock 7-3. Sandra Johnson recorded a hat-trick while the duo of Jessica Teasdale and Jalade Trim registered two goals respectively.

For the losers, Seanica Cameron, Donella Rice and Shenessa Cornelius netted.

According to the release, the 12 clubs that are part of the tournament are, “Bartica All Stars FC, Potaro Strikers FC, Essequibo All Stars FC, Foxy Ladies FC, Milerock FC, Coomacka FC, Pakuri Jaguars FC, New Amsterdam United FC, Guyana Police Football Club, Guyana Defence Force FC, Fruta Conquerors FC and Santos FC.”

The championship match will be held on March 23rd.
