Indar Bhagwant, a 42-year-old driver of Logwood, Enmore, East Coast Demerara, appeared last week at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where he was charged with the offence of cruelty to an animal.
In a Facebook video that has been widely viewed, Bhagwant could be seen beating a dog. He pleaded guilty and was fined $50,000 or three months imprisonment.
