Dear Editor,
I refer to the article “Home Affairs PS was not travelling on gov’t business – Chandan-Edmond says she must go on leave” in the April 26 edition of your newspaper. I am compelled to ask whether the government source who stated that, “The US system is different. It isn’t a system like in Guyana where you can pick up a phone and call an agency and get answers” was winking or at least smiling when he/she enlightened the readers with that insightful comparison of access to information in the two republics.
