Briton John soloed to victory to claim the senior men’s title for this year’s National Road Race Championship yesterday in Linden.

Fresh off an exemplary campaign on the US circuit, The United We Stand Club biker, returned home in sublime form which was on full display.

John led Masters riders, Robin Persaud and Kwame Ridley onto the podium for the five-lap almost 100-mile event which was staged in and around the town of Linden.

Christopher Griffith, former champion, Romello Crawford, Seagun Hubbard, Arjoon Sookhai and Curtis Dey completed the top eight positions.

John, crossed the line in the last edition of the championship in 2021 but was relegated to second because of an infringement at the line. He got his revenge yesterday in emphatic fashion.

Meanwhile, Saturday, the Time Trials for all categories were held around the KK Gas Station, Mahaica circuit.

Dey (male), Alex Leung (juvenile), Aaron Newton (junior), Denise Jeffrey (female) and Ridley (Masters) were the winners in their respective categories. The male and Masters riders were timed for 14 miles while the other categories were timed for seven miles.
