St. Stanislaus College crowned ‘Georgetown Conference’ Basketball Champion

St. Stanislaus College overcame a 12 deficit to defeat the Bishops’ High 41-40 to be downed the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) ‘Georgetown Conference’ Champion on Wednesday evening at the Burnham Court, Parade Ground.

Brandon McCoy top scored for the Brickdam based outfit with 14 points and five steals, whilst Alafin Joseph contributed eight points and five rebounds, and Jabari Lovell supported seven points and four rebounds.

Part of the action in the St. Stanislaus College and the Bishops’ High final in the YBG ‘Georgetown Conference’.

For the loser, Daniel Bayley recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Yaneil Easton registered 10 points, five rebounds, and as many steals. Chipping in with eight points and 14 rebounds was Colwyn Stephens.

The National School Basketball Festival (NSBF) will commence tomorrow at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, and will feature teams competing in four national divisions.
