Victoria Kings and Milerock played to a 1-1 stalemate when the KFC Elite League continued last night at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Centre, Providence.

Following a scoreless first half, Milerock, a club based in the town of Linden, took the lead in the form of veteran forward Rawle ‘Bony Man’ Gittens in the 48th minute. Storming into the centre of the box following a one-two passing combination, Gittens slotted his effort past the advancing goalkeeper during a one on one situation.

However, Milerock would be denied their first win in the competition as they conceded a goal in the 90th+3 minute which emanated from the boot of Calvin DeSouza.

Racing into the right side of the 18 yard box, DeSouza uncorked a flat right footed shot which evaded the goalkeeper to his left and settled into the bottom of the net.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Guyana Defence Force (GDF) defeated two time defending champion Fruta Conquerors via walkover after the Tucville based outfit failed to appear for the encounter. No reason was given for their absence.
