Beacons edged AK Galaxy 3-2 in the Bartica Football Association Senior Men’s League on Sunday evening at the Community Centre ground.
Curt Welcome bagged a first half brace in the 22nd and 41st minute, with Shaqueel Hopkinson adding to the score in the 56th minute. For the loser, the combination of Elcio Oliveira and Massiah Joseph netted in the ninth and 76th minute respectively.
Meanwhile, Rising Stars and Agatash played to a 2-2 draw. Ian Gomes Jr recorded a first half double in the 11th and 27th minute for Rising Stars while Oliver Mentis equalised for Agatash with a second half double in the 51st and 59th minute.
