Waramuri, Sunday evening, bested Santa Rosa by the odd goal in three to reach the semi-finals of the Digicel Schools Football Championships where nemesis DC Caesar Fox awaits.
Goals from Bruce Vincent and Zundel Adams in the 27th and 50th minute helped Waramuri to a 2-1 win in the ‘Region #1 derby’ at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Roy Van Sluytman was on target for the Region #1 champions in the 60th minute.
Waramuri will now oppose Region #7 winners DC Caesar Fox [formerly Waramadong] in the semi-finals tomorrow at the same venue from 19:00hrs.
In the other semi-final, Carmel will lock horns with Region #9 winners St. Ignatius at 17:00hrs.
