Hemant Singh, a 19-year-old welder of Lot 90 Suddie Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was charged on Thursday with wounding his father.
According to the police. Singh is accused of committing the act on, Krishanan Singh, a 67-year-old of the same address on 7th August 2023.
The accused appear-ed on Thursday at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead to the charge. Bail was granted in the sum of $20,000. The case was adjourned to 2023-09-01.
