Walter Scott, a 57-year-old coach of Lot 21 Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was arrested on 2023-09-13 and charged on Friday with the offence of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm, Contrary to Section 50 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
The attack was reportedly committed on Satish Dass of Land of Canaan, EBD on the 13th September 2023, a release from the police said.
The accused appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court #2 before Magistrate Judy Latchman, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted $100,000 bail.
The matter was postponed to 11 October, 2023.
