Nabaclis woman fined for several offences, pleads not guilty to others

Latoya Hughes, a 19-year-old female of Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara was fined for a series of charges and placed on bail on others yesterday.

Hughes appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore where the charges were read to her.

Hughes pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour, indecent language, and indecent exposure. She was fined $5000 on each count or one month’s imprisonment.

She pleaded not guilty to assault with intent to prevent lawful apprehension, assault with intent to resist lawful apprehension and obstructing a peace officer. On each charge, bail was granted in a sum of $25,000.
