A 30-year-old Bartica man who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol was yesterday fined $200,000.
Mikel De Freitas of Lot 2 Fifth Avenue, Bartica appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Crystal Lambert, where the charge of driving whilst his breath alcohol level exceeded the prescribed limit was read to him.
He pleaded guilty and was fined $200,000 or six months’ imprisonment.
