Fitness Expo 2023 deemed a success

The Fitness Expo 2023, hosted by Guyana Fitness Games (GFG) over the weekend, concluded with tremendous success, leaving a profound impact on all attendees.

This is according to a press release issued by the GFG on Monday.

“We are delighted to announce that this event exceeded all expectations, and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, supported, and sponsored this remarkable fitness extravaganza,”  a release from the organisers stated.

According to the release, the event, which was staged at the National Gymnasium, was an exhilarating two-day celebration of health, fitness, and camaraderie. It brought together fitness enthusiasts from all walks of life, offering them a platform to challenge their limits, forge new friendships, and revel in the joy of wellness. The ‘Soca Fitness Fete’ was action-packed as participants sweated while dancing to their favourite soca tunes.   The Ultimate Schools Basketball Grudge Match between St. Stanislaus College and President’s College left patrons at the edge of their seats throughout the match.  These events on the first day set the stage for an electrifying weekend. 

The Fitness Challenge, featuring the Strongman and Strongwoman, Elite Teams Competition and the Scaled Competition on the second day, showcased exceptional athleticism and determination. 

The crowd friendly workouts added to the excitement as the fans cheered on their favourite athletes.  

“We would like to congratulate all the athletes for pushing through each event and displaying a high level of athleticism and great sportsmanship.  Special congratulations to those who made it on the podium,” the release from the organisers stated.

According to the release, the organisers are committed to making Fitness Expo 2024 even better, with more exciting activities, more exhibitors, enhanced facilities, and a wider range of crowd-friendly fitness challenges.
