‘An exercise packed experience’, Fitness Expo 2023 was launched Tuesday night by the brass of the Guyana Fitness Games at the Herdmanston Lodge.
The annual event, which is set for this weekend at the National Gymnasium, is set to captivate the senses and fuel the passion for a healthier lifestyle.
The event is the brainchild of Noshavyah King who declared, “We invite you to be a part of a high-energy extravaganza that promises heart-pounding excitement, fitness prowess, and boundless fun.”
King added that on Saturday, the Fitness Expo kicks off with a bang at 18:30hrs, for the “Soca Fitness Fete,” a rhythmic dance party that will have you grooving to the pulsating beats of Soca music while torquing calories like never before.
The excitement continues two hours later with the Ultimate Schools Basketball Grudge Match, as Bishops’ High takes on Saint Stanislaus College in what promises to be a thrilling showdown.
On Sunday, the action starts at noon. It promises to be a day of sweat, strength, and sheer determination with the Fitness Challenge.
Participants will engage in a series of heart-pounding exercises that will test their limits and push their fitness boundaries.
The Fitness Challenge includes the Elite Teams competition for both males and females, where top athletes will showcase their prowess.
For those who are newer to the fitness game, there is the Scaled Competition, designed for less seasoned athletes of both genders, offering a challenging yet accessible experience for all fitness enthusiasts.
