ExxonMobil fuels the New Era Futsal in Linden

ExxonMobil Guyana is fueling New Era Entertainment’s 2023 futsal tournament, which will commence this evening at the Retrieve Hard Court in the mining town of Linden and last for the duration of two weeks.

The other playing dates are November 11th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, and 24th, with the final chalked up for November 25. The participating teams are Anybody Gets It, Blueberry Hill, Coomacka, DC Ballers, Fearless, Finishers, Genna Syde, Goal is Money, Gorilla, Golden Stars, Hard Knocks, HH Ballers, Hill Side Ballers, LA Ballers, One Side, The Money Team, West Side Ballers, YMCA, Young Gunners, and Youths United.

The winner will receive $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up will pocket $500,000 and the corresponding accolade. The third and fourth-place finishers will receive $200,000 and $100,000, respectively.

At the sponsorship presentation, ExxonMobil Guyana’s Community Relations Advisor, Ryan Hoppie, revealed that “one of the goals is to ensure that we have good, wholesome fun at this year’s tournament and to ensure that this provides a platform for alternative types of social activities that can foster camaraderie and a level of discipline, while also providing an opportunity for players to earn some winnings”.

Meanwhile, Kenrick Noel of New Era Entertainment touted discipline as key to the tournament, stating “We are committed to ensuring the utmost professionalism in team attendance during the tournament and the conduct of teams throughout the tournament”.
