Stephon Lawrence appear-ed yesterday before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magis-trate’s Court where he was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition without a licence.
It was alleged that on November 7, while at North Sophia, Lawrence had in his possession a firearm and two rounds of .38 ammunition.
On the day in question the accused was being subjected to a body search searched when the handgun was discovered tucked into the waist of his pants along with the two live .38 rounds. He was not the holder of a firearm licence at the time.
Lawrence pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The magistrate refused bail and remanded him to prison.
The matter has been adjourned to January 19, 2024.
