Chase Academy defeats Bartica in Limacol School League

League leader Chase Academy bested Bartica 3-1 in a top-of-the table clash when the Limacol Secondary School Football Championship continued at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, yesterday.

Bryan Wharton, Neeiaz Baksh, and Omar Sam were on target in the 21st, 24th, and 49th minute for the undefeated outfit, who extended their lead atop the standings. For the loser, Nic Tabla scored in the 52nd minute.

Meanwhile, Carmel and Santa Rosa played to a 1-1 stalemate. Carmel seized the initial lead in the fourth minute via Ian Daniels, while Santa Rosa equalised in the form of Rupee Norton in the 67th minute.

Also, Anns Grove crushed Wismar/Christianburg 5-1. Naron Jerrick tallied a brace in the 16th and 55th minutes, while Keron Argyle, Kevron Pompey, and Travis Williams netted in the 52nd, 62nd, and 64th minutes, respectively. On target in the loss was Dwayne Garraway in the 28th minute.

On the other hand, Mackenzie High defeated East Ruimveldt via walkover.
