The Lady Jaguars U17 side lost to Suriname by a 0-1 score-line in the second match of their four-game U17 home and away international series yesterday at the Eve Leary Stadium in Kingston, Georgetown.

Kertoidjojo Shanika recorded the only conversion of the match in the 23rd minute, as the first leg of the series ended 1-1. The return leg will be staged on December 16th and 17th in Suriname. Guyana, in the first fixture of the series, overcame a 1-2 deficit to defeat Suriname 3-2 on Saturday at the same venue.

The event was conceptualised as a means to provide international competition to the U17 female programme after the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) withdrew from the 2023 CONCACFA U17 qualifiers.
